TURKEY & SYRIA EMERGENCY AID CAMPAIGN 


Last Friday, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops announced a joint initiative of humanitarian organizations in response to the destructive earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria last week. They have pledged the total sum of nearly one million Canadian dollars.

FIRST INTERNATIONAL MEETING FOR COMMUNICATION IN RELIGIOUS LIFE

The International Union of Superiors General (UISG) announced the First International Meeting for Communication in Religious Life to be held next November.

The four main goals are :

1. Nurturing the culture of communication
2. Mapping the communication reality of Religious life
3. Strenghtening network & collaboration
4. Enhancing communication skills

The invitation to take part in November's Meeting is addressed not only to consecrated men and women, but also to lay people who, taking up the congregations' charism, communicate their mission putting their professional skills to good use.

PREPARATION OF THE 2023 GENERAL ASSEMBLY

This week, we are beginning the preparatory conversations for our General Assembly to be held in Montreal, on May 25 to 28, 2023.  Several representatives from the Congregations leadership teams are participating.

LEGAL EDUCATION FOR LEADERSHIP OF RELIGIOUS INSTITUTES AND THEIR LAY COLLABORATORS


The Faculty of Canon Law at St. Paul University announces the opening of registration for the 2023 session (2nd year) of its legal training for present and future leadership teams and for lay persons working in the administration of an institute of consecrated life or societies of apostolic life. This program offers an updated formation in the contemporary context on the main points of canon law and on certain points of civil law that are relevant to consecrated life.
